Info from email communications with Todd Fake - (Jan 14) URI was late on the bill and communications was cut off. Should be restored this month. The site is still up and running. (Mar 10) Contractors are scheduling an appointment with the state park office to run new conduit so they can pull a data line to the area where the equipment is. Once that is complete new communication service can be established to the site. Unfortunately I don’t have an ETA on when this will happen. It’s been in the works for some time now. I did just speak with the contractor today and wasn’t provided with a timeline but should have an update sometime next week. The original communication installation wasn’t possible due to a collapsed piece of conduit. The site is operating and collecting data. Never had one [a cell modem] there. We don’t spare modems. URI manages the communications and unfortunately stopped payment which canceled the service. To get the service started again a new line needs to be put in place. It’s all a scam to force you to upgrade. (Apr 19) I think it is close to being resolved. I’m planning a trip next week with the contractor the finish up the installation. (May 9) Contractors are running new conduit at MISQ to run new data for communication. The site is operational and the work is scheduled to be completed by mid-month.
